Pitkin County Public Health released amendments to the current local public health order. To review the latest PHO click here.
Amendments to the public health order include the following: Drive-In Events, Lodging, Museums (Places of Public Accommodation), Houses of Worship, Outdoor Recreation, Post-Secondary Education, Provisions of Personal Services, and Health Care Settings.
As a county we will align with the state allowing for lodging to open to 100% occupancy, allow drive in events like movies and concerts and permit museums to open with no more than 10 people in a given exhibit at once. We will NOT align with the state public order, currently allowing bars to open at 25% capacity and increasing group/event size. Pitkin County will reassess bar and event sizes beyond 50 people in 2-4 weeks.
Business sector teams have been meeting in recent weeks to collect input and provide guidance on how local businesses can safely reopen according to the local public health order. For business guidance click here.
The rolling steps and guidance around Pitkin County’s reopening have been vetted by Public Health and Medical Health experts.
