The State announced upcoming changes to the State Public Health Order to go into effect today, June 18. The State’s changes will not go into effect until the Pitkin County Public Health Order is amended. Pitkin County could choose to be more restrictive or less restrictive if our current variance applies.
On June 22nd, Pitkin County and the Medical Advisory Team will review data, and current recommendations from sector groups to determine any needed amendments to the Pitkin County Safer at Home Public Health Order, and on June 25th the Board of Health will revisit case data to evaluate potential dates to move into the next Phase. Currently, residential camps, bars, and group sizes over 50 are prohibited and will be reassessed on June 22nd, in light of the data over the last week.
By continuing to follow the Five Commitments of Containment, we can gradually and safely continue to lift social distancing requirements.
