Effective Monday, May 10 at 12:01 a.m. Pitkin County will move to Level Green allowances on CDPHE Dial 3.0. The move to Level Green comes after six consecutive days of case counts below six per day and decreasing positivity rates.
|Report Date||Case Count||% Positivity|
Most significantly, moving from Level Blue to Level Green will mean any business, activity or gathering may operate without any capacity limits other than those resulting from 6 feet distancing or as outlined on the table below.
In Level Green, 5 Star Certified businesses should follow Level Green allowances with the understanding that your certification can increase consumer confidence.
In addition to business requirements, under Level Green everyone must continue to take the following actions:
- Individuals in Pitkin County are required to wear a mask in indoor public settings and in outdoor settings where 6 ft. distancing cannot be maintained from non-household members.
- When you go out, follow physical distancing requirements (6 feet of space between yourself and others).
- People who have COVID-19 symptoms should get tested.
- There is no longer a state limit on personal gathering sizes in private settings under levels green, blue and yellow. Please follow CDC’s guidance on personal gatherings. The CDC still strongly recommends avoiding larger gatherings and crowds to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Even in light of these COVID-19 Dial changes and the number of vaccinations being provided, the community, from individuals to businesses, is being asked to continue to follow disease prevention steps such as wearing a face mask, not gathering with those outside your household, maintaining social distance and washing hands frequently so that we can continue to operate at these levels.
Pitkin County will continue to follow Dial 3.0 until at least May 27. Tune into the next Board of Health meeting on May 13th to hear about next steps and Public Health recommendations to the Board.
The success of graduating from Dial 3.0 hinges on these next few weeks as we continue to see decreasing disease spread and increases in the number of community members vaccinated. If you have not yet received a vaccine, you are encouraged to get vaccinated as soon as possible. You can find a vaccine clinic by visiting our vaccine finder.
