  • Aspen Valley Hospital Capacity:  COMFORTABLE*
    (Based on an evaluation of  inpatient hospitalizations,  transfer capacity, healthcare workers out and average daily visits in ER, respiratory evaluation, and COVID-19 testing)
  • Pitkin County Resident Hospital Admissions: 1 (in past 28 days)
  • All Colorado Hospitalizations:
    • 91% of Acute Care Beds in Use
    • 84% of ICU Beds in Use
    • 45% of Those Hospitalized are Unvaccinated

7-Day COVID-19 Case Summary (4/26-5/9)

  • New Pitkin County cases: 10
  • Resident Incidence Rate: 58/100,000 

(The cumulative incidence rate is calculated by dividing the total number of cases over the census population, then multiplying by 100,000)

As local access to public lab testing services may be becoming more limited, community members are encouraged to take advantage of the federal programs that offer free at-home antigen tests to the public. With vaccine verification being a useful tool in reducing the spread of COVID-19, it is important to always have your vaccine card on you at all times. Luckily, the state of Colorado has an award-winning app for all holders of a Colorado identification card or driver’s license, that allows easy access to electronic COVID-19 vaccination records, and other state license and registration documents! Aspen Downtown Testing Location to Remain Free until Mid June 

The Roaring Fork Valley Covid Testing site located in Downtown Aspen will supply free testing up until Mid June. Please always check back on our testing page for the most up-to-date information.

Location: Downtown Aspen / 412 Rio Grande Place, Aspen CO. 81611. 

  • Tue, May 10, 10:00am – 6:00pm. 
  • Wed, May 18. 10:00am – 6:00pm. 
  • Thu, May 19 8:00am – 5:00pm. 

Appointments Recommended. 1st, 2nd and booster doses available for Pfizer, Moderna. Pediatric Pfizer also available (age 5+). No ID required.
