Current CDC Covid-19 Community Level
On February 24tn the CDC updated the Covid-19 Risk levels to Community Levels. Pitkin County is currently at a level. Learn more.
Hospital Status (As of 2/16)
- Aspen Valley Hospital Capacity: COMFORTABLE*
(Based on an evaluation of inpatient hospitalizations, transfer capacity, healthcare workers out and average daily visits in ER, respiratory evaluation, and COVID-19 testing)
- Pitkin County Resident Hospital Admissions: 2 (in past 2 weeks anywhere in CO)
- All Colorado Hospitalizations:
- 91% of Acute Care Beds in Use
- 85% of ICU Beds in Use
- 67% of Those Hospitalized are Unvaccinated
7-Day COVID-19 Case Summary (3/16 – 3/22)
- New Pitkin County cases: 33
- Resident Incidence Rate: 190/100,000
(The cumulative incidence rate is calculated by dividing the total number of cases over the census population, then multiplying by 100,000)
7-Day Testing Summary (3/16 – 3/22)
- Positivity Rate: 9%
- Positivity Increase/Decrease: 6% Increase over the prior 7-day period
- Indoor Mask Mandate
- Masks are recommended indoors but required on public transportation and in some business settings.
Changes to COVID-19 Data Dashboard
As COVID-19 wanes in Pitkin County, the public health team has simplified the data reporting process and associated dashboards. There will now be a single Pitkin County data dashboard, which will include data on COVID-19 case and testing, and COVID-19 hospitalizations, deaths, and vaccinations. TSA Extends Mask Mandate
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has extended the security directive requiring masks on public transportation and in public transportation hubs through April 18, 2022. Please continue to wear your mask on public transit including RFTA buses, as well as in the Pitkin County Airport.
