This afternoon, Governor Polis announced changes to the State’s COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution schedule including updates to Phase 1B and Phase 2.
Beginning February 8, the State will allow providers to vaccinate anyone 65 and over and PreK-12 educators, as well as continuing to prioritize those that are 70 and over who have not yet received a vaccine.
Governor Polis also announced that the State estimates that close to March 5, frontline workers and Coloradans ages 16-64 with two or more high-risk conditions, who were previously identified in Phase 2, will also be eligible to receive the vaccine. It’s also projected that Coloradans ages 60 and up will also be able to start receiving the vaccine around March 5.
Until that time, Pitkin County continues to work through Phases 1A and 1B.1.
