Consumer Protection Dashboard
Welcome to the COVID-19 Consumer and Employee Protection dashboard, the hub for the most recent information on Pitkin County Business and Event safety programs. The Pitkin County Consumer and Employee Protection Team, City of Aspen Consumer Health Protection Specialist Team, and local law enforcement agencies actively work together making observations to ensure compliance across all industries throughout the county.
The two consumer protection teams use an educational approach in following up on any complaints or observations of non-compliance. Should there be continuous violations and non-compliance the teams move forward with an enforcement process which may include issuing Warning Letters and then a Notice of Violation. If you would like to report a Public Health Order violation please submit a complaint.
Business and Event Safety Plans are required under the current Pitkin County Public Health Order. The guidelines for Business Safety Plans were updated to accommodate changes in State level policies on November 13, 2020 and businesses were required to resubmit plans. Where relevant, this is indicated by an asterisk (*) on the dashboard. More information on guidance for businesses operating in Pitkin County can be found on our Employer and Business Resources webpage. Guidelines for events can be found on the Events and Gatherings webpage. To submit a Business or Event Safety Plan please visit our Safety Plan webpage.
