As of current, the Microgen testing sites at the Airport and SMV will be closed due to low demand. Thursday, April 22nd, will be the last day to receive testing at these locations. This was announced yesterday by the site’s coordinator, Dr. Allen of Roaring Fork Neurology.
If testing demand increases at a future point, the sites can be set up again. In any case, there are plans to operate the sit in Aspen (behind City Hall) through the summer.
The continued efforts of Dr. Allen are much appreciated. Her efforts to take advantage of unused CARES Act funding at the end of the last year created robust, community-wide testing for so many individuals. A major thank you is in order for taking initiative during these unsettling times.
