Regardless of State of Colorado amendments to the Governor’s Safer at Home order Tuesday, Pitkin County remains in Phase II of the Roadmap to Reopening. Pitkin County Public Health today released amendments to the current local public health order. Amendments and guidance are posted to the Pitkin County Covid-19 Response and Recovery website at www.pitkincounty.com/covid . Amendments to the public health order include the following sectors: Houses of worship, outdoor recreation including organized sports, swimming pools, gyms, etc., children’s day camps and youth sports camps, short term rental, personal services, and public and private gatherings,
“Pitkin County’s reopening strategy aligns somewhat with the State of Colorado’s Safer at Home guidance with some exceptions. We need to keep the focus on our local public health orders and guidance to avoid confusion,” said Pitkin County Public Health Director Karen Koenemann.
Business sector teams have been meeting in recent weeks to collect input and provide guidance on how local businesses can safely reopen according to the local public health order. Business guidance is available on the Pitkin County COVID-19 Response and Recovery website at www.pitkincounty.com/covid under Business Resources.
